Spatial Data to Drive Value Chain Development: Economic Fibre Supply Model Case Study

CRIBE -  Centre for Research and Innovation in the Bio-Economy  has been leading Ontario’s development of competitive and sustainable industries for the forest bio-economy. Through collaboration, financial support and promotion they facilitate the creation of new products, processes, business and job’s for Ontario’s forest based industry. In their most recent project, 30:30, CRIBE is prioritizing  putting Ontario’s sustainable 30 million m3 per year wood supply to work by 2030. The project is  built around a new central open data platform called Next for Innovation Hub,  set of innovative GIS tools identifying and responding to market opportunities while demonstrating new technologies and applications in forestry.
