Reporting to the Supervisor, Parking Operations, the Parking Technologist (GIS) is responsible for the development, management, and analysis of the City’s spatial parking data environment. The role leads the integration of GIS, parking system data, financial data, and utilization studies to support evidence-based decision making for parking operations, pricing strategy, supply planning, and transportation demand initiatives. This position functions as the subject matter expert for GIS and data analytics within Parking Operations and provides analytical support to Licensing & Enforcement Services. The City of Guelph is seeking a Supervisor, Enterprise GIS within the Information Technology department. This transformational leadership role will manage the corporate GIS team through a critical modernization phase, spearheading the City’s migration from ArcGIS Enterprise 10 to a modern, service-based ArcGIS Enterprise 11. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in establishing ArcGIS as the City’s authoritative system of record for Asset and Location Master Data. You will champion the seamless integration of spatial data with enterprise asset management (EAM) platforms and corporate business systems. Balancing technical vision with operational excellence, you will implement robust data governance framework standards and ensure high availability of geospatial services to empower diverse internal and external stakeholders. |
