Biography
Unnimaya is a GIS and environmental professional with over three years of experience in spatial data analysis, environmental mapping, and utility GIS operations. She has worked across infrastructure, transportation, and environmental research domains, contributing to projects involving geodatabase management, remote sensing, and spatial modeling.

Her professional experience includes roles in GIS operations and utility mapping, where she has demonstrated expertise in QA/QC processes, data integration, and workflow optimization using tools such as ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ERDAS Imagine, AutoCAD, Python, and R. She has supported infrastructure planning and decision-making through the development of accurate geospatial datasets, analytical models, and high-quality map products.

Unnimaya also has a strong research background in environmental analysis, including drought risk mapping using fuzzy logic and microplastic analysis using advanced analytical techniques. She holds a Master’s degree in Tropical Hydrogeology and Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt, Germany, along with academic training in geoinformation science and environmental science.

Currently based in Ontario, she is keen to contribute to the geospatial community by applying her technical expertise to sustainable planning, infrastructure development, and environmental management initiatives.
