Biography
Will's geospatial journey began while completing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History (with a Business minor) at Brock University. After graduating, he worked with the City of Niagara Falls Museums department, where he researched an exhibit on sustainability. This prompted him to change his career trajectory to focus on GIS. He then enrolled in the GIS and Urban Planning Diploma Program at Fanshawe College, where he honed his skills in GIS and gained technical knowledge in planning and Canadian planning policy.
Will has worked in various GIS roles, now finding himself working as a GIS Technician for the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority (NPCA). Will provides critical support to the GIS Team and the NPCA as a whole, ensuring their data is easily collectible, accessible, and most importantly, accurate. He is constantly looking for new and innovative applications of GIS for his colleagues, holding the firm belief that GIS is the solution for tomorrow's organizational challenges.
